Here’s my tip: don’t let yourself get bottlenecked being obsessed with processing every crop for maximum profit. This becomes easier with the addition of the dehydrator. Sell your gold and silver crops. When you’ve got your summer 1 blueberries, put normal quality in preserve jars until you have cranberries, but then switch to preserving cranberries to run the blueberries through dehydrators instead. Always be processing your most valuable crops, and dehydrate anything you have left over from last season. Dehydrated fruits are generally less profitable than kegged or preserved crops, but if you’re still sitting on a huge stock when the next year rolls around, you’re cheating yourself out of money you could be spending on lucrative year 2 seeds like starfruit!

I can't tell you how many times I risked passing out trying to get to a checkpoint level in the mines.. it's sad.

You start off with extremely limited energy. Don't worry, it will increase over time. If you find wild spring onions, those are the extra energy boosters you need to get through the rough patch at the beginning. I put the game down for an entire month because I kept going to bed early exhausted. Little money, no progress interacting with the town, and sluggish movement speed.

After year 1 ALWAYS STAY OUT PAST 2 + NEVER SELL ANYTHING UNTIL YOU NEED THE MONEY. Its more difficult to manage but it takes the pressure off losing money and progress in the mines

The green rain seriously makes it so you don’t have to worry about wood. Plant a bunch before the rain and then BAM most of them will stay fully grown after the rain

I like saving 5 of the highest quality I have gotten of an item. The star doesn’t always matter, but it can be great for if it is a quest that gives you friendship
